Intel Silicon to unveil in a Shipping Smartphone — In India

Finally Intel Corporation that is known for its manufactured processors, is ready to enter in smartphones market with its first the Xolo X900 smartphone.

Announcing company statement, Director of Intel’s Marketing for Mobile and Communications Group, Jeff Ross said, “We finally have a very competitive product for smartphones, a high-performance part that can compete with products in the market, and those coming out to the market.”

First Intel-powered Xolo is dealt with high energetic performance regarding camera capabilities, video encoding and playback, and browser speed and performance. It has a single-core Intel Medfield chip, hyper threading supportive Z2460 Atom processor.

The smartphone that supports both HSPA+ 3G and HSPA+ 4G networks, is powered by Android Gingerbread OS, an 8-megapixel camera along with 4-inch LCD touch screen, 1080p HD video recording.

According to Intel, its Medfield advance features specified Xolo with high image processing technology, easy to click photos in burst mode, 10 photos per second.

One good news is that this Intel-powered Xolo that is made by Lava International on basis of an Intel design will only be available for Indians to experience. Intel has deed partnerships with Orange, Motorola, ZTE, and Lenovo to launch Medfield processor-based smartphones phones.

Moreover Intel’s first Xolo X900 will come in market on April 23 at price of 22,000 INR, which is about $425 as per announcement made by company on Thursday.
