Kejriwal detained, refuses to leave Bawana jail

Delhi Police has detained IAC activist turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal and 150 IAC members, including a mob of handicapped people from Rashtriya Viklang Party while they marched on Rajpath and tried to lead towards Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s 7 Race Course Road residence.

Khejriwal is now in the makeshift jail at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Bawana where also he protesting against Law Minister Salman Khurshid and his wife’s a NGO, alleging over misuse of funds of disabled people in different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

“Both the minister and his wife are influential people and they can tamper with evidence,” Kejriwal said accusing Khurshid to be a corrupt minister and no place in Cabinet for him either quit or is fired.

Refusing to leave the jail, after Police had released activists, until his demand of Khurshid’s resignation does not fulfill, Khejriwal said while police arresting him, “We will remain in jail and we will not come out”.

Khejriwal who also demanding Prime Minister to meet disabled people whom Khurshid’s NGO cheated, accused the police to arrest selected activists and volunteers, beating them to “terrorise” them, reports said.

Moreover, Khejriwal protest were hit out in many cities including Salman Khurshid’s constituency Farukkhabad , Lucknow, Amritsar, Indore, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai.
