Amid disruptive movement of BJP blocking the Parliamentary functions, once again both Houses have been adjourned at 12 noon while Opposition members walked out Parliament when no clear decisive point came out over their demand of PM’s resignation.
Holding the corruption issue of CAG report on Coal Block Allocations, BJP with its allies are repeatedly demanding Mr. Manmohan Singh’s resignation alleging to benefiting private companies $1.86 crores and cheating with national consensus.
Reacting on it, for the first time, UPA led Congress President Sonia Gandhi has spoken today over the Coalgate scam, taking charge just before PM Mr. Singh go to visit Iran for attending the NAM Summit.
Addressing a meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party, Gandhi urged her party members to hit counter offensive response to the BJP because her party “has nothing to hide or to be defensive about”.
Gandhi strongly criticized the Opposition to disrupt Parliament since last Tuesday, calling it a blackmailer’s party, only think about ransom, adding, “Blackmail has become the political bread and butter of BJP. BJP’s belief is our way or no way.”
Gandhi challenged BJP to fight, as per media information, interacting with her MPs, she announced that they were ready to fight against Opposition allegations on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the CAG report on coalgate.
In charge of Gandhi, Congress has in a bomb power and ready to expose the BJP in front of nation. “We need to fight the intemperate criticism and negative politics of BJP. They are holding Parliament to ransom,” she said and suggested to take up the issue in public.
Report further said, Congress is seeking to set aside BJP from the matter as under rule 193 without voting, there are several party MPs who sought to debate a discussion in Lok Sabha by issuing a notice.
