According to the latest news from sports, Indian spines Pragyan Ojha has something to smile now as the bowler broke into the top-15 of the ICC rankings for the very first in his career.
The bowler has achieved this after the wonderful performance in the home Test series against West Indies, in which he took seven wickets in the third test match played at Mumbai.
In the meantime, he took six wickets in the second innings of the test match and he is now jumped to 11th place in the ICC ranking, just ahead of Australia’s Peter Siddle.
However, India medium-fast bowler Ishant Sharma lost his place and dropped three places to 20th position after taking just one wicket in the match. Out of action pacer Zaheer Khan remained static at number six.
Meanwhile, India is still placed at the second spot in the ICC team ranking but closed the gap on England at the top of the table to seven points.
India bagged one ratings point for the 2-0 series win and moves up to 118 ratings points.
In the ranking for Test batsmen, Sachin Tendulkar (6), Rahul Dravid (8) and VVS Laxman (14) lost a place each while Virender Sehwag was unchanged at number 19.
