Sachin Kukke 300x206 Sachin Kukke wins Space Lab ContestIn the first ever history, Sachin Kukke, an Indian student of mechanical engineering at the BMS College for Engineering in Bangalore record his name in the winner list of YouTube Space Lab 2012 contest.

Asia Pacific region contest was designed for young people all over world to introduce their experiments, one best out of that could be performed in outer space.

Amazing project that gave victory to Bangalore’s Sachin based on magnetic field, transfer of heat in ferrofluid that help to reach advanced cooling and heat transfer systems.

Congratulating him on his global success as honour for nation, Indian ambassador to the US, Nirupama Rao, said, “Students like Sachin symbolise the hopes and the potential of a dynamic, resurgent India and it’s young population”.

From only India around 40 % contestants were participates that was a great share out of total number of entries, express the interest and keen to go ahead in the field of outer space among the Indian youth.

Showing as apart of rapid economic developments, Rao encouraged Sachin who shared his experience of conceptualizing and innovative scientific experiments in meeting with Lee Hunter, head of brand marketing for YouTube, and Claudio Lilienfeld, senior policy manager for Asia Pacific at Google.

The Jury who had selected to being award the Six Global winners was the members of YouTube and Lenovo, in cooperation with Space Organizations, NASA, ESA (European Space Agency), and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency).
