According to fresh reports, country’s top woman badminton player Saina Nehwal will soon be the highest pair sportsperson, besides cricketers, as she will be signing a Rs 40 crore contract with a sports management company.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal has made country proud after winning singles bronze medal at 2012 London Olympics, she has been signed for 3-years by Rhiti Sports, which also has a contract with Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni.

Talking to media, Saina Nehwal said, “I’m happy and looking forward to start a working relationship with Rhiti. With Rhiti’s background and credibility, they know how to balance things and that is a big plus point.”

Saina Nehwal has now joins that list of world’s best earning badminton players.

A daily newspaper said, “Chinese men’s singles gold medallist Lin Dan reportedly earns about Rs. 12.8 crore annually in net earnings, while Malaysian Lee Chong Wei takes home Rs. 8.7 crore approximately.”

Reports have said that the sports management company will now look after Saina Nehwal’s brand associations, corporate profile, patents and digital rights, images and all other commercial rights exclusively.

Earlier, India’s top woman badminton has her contract with Deccan Chronicle group.
