Shooting at Sikh temple 150x150 Shooting breaks out at Sikh temple in WisconsinAccording to latest reports, one gunman opened fire during the morning services on yesterday ay a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. It is expected to be a hate crime.

Further, reports have said that around six people have been killed and several others were critically injured in the shooting attack.

Statement issued by the US Police said, “The White House confirmed that a police officer killed the lone gunman and as of 6:30pm EST the situation at the Sikh Temple was under control.”

On the other hand, ambulances and fire department were immediately rushed at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, which is around 20 minutes south of Milwaukee. The local police further told media that the shooting started at around 10:30 am local time.

Police official said, “We do have a shooting. Our whole department is out there, and others as well.”

However, no details had been released about the Sikhs who lost their life in the attack.

Carolyn Bellin, spokeswoman for Froedhart & The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee said, “To men had been brought in and one was undergoing surgery.”
