Sony launches water-resistant Smart phone Xperia Z with ZL

Amid market grooming with iPhone and Nexus, Sony has come up with its most appreciable and attractive ‘Waterproof’ Xperia Z, launching at CES 2013.

Sony Xperia Z, the new flagship Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean phone is the complete dust- and water-resistant device, no harm if an entire bottle of water dumps on it.

If we talk about its specifications, Xperia Z features a 13MP larger camera powered by an Exmor RS mobile sensor, offering a high dynamic range (HDR) videos, a 5-inch full-1080p “reality” display at 440ppi and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

LTE network supporting Sony device has a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory expandable upto 128GB, along with micro-USB, USB host mode, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC compatible with Bravia TV.

On part of pricing, leaked reports said that Sony is likely to make available its waterproof Xperia Z at about $660 or 500 euros or Rs.36, 000 rupees.

The Xperia Z will likely to be initially released in Singapore on January 15, then rest of all Asia. Moreover, along with Xperia Z, Sony has also announced another smartphones powered by the quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor–the Xperia ZL.

Xperia ZL is the smaller version of the Xperia Z, much thicker and heavier device comes with similar specifications.
