News from the defence state, Vice Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi, an anti-submarine warfare specialist, is now the new Navy Chief taking the post from Admiral Nirmal Verma who retires on Friday.
Admiral Devendra Joshi, 58-years-old, was presently the Western naval Commander. He will be leading the Navy at a time when it is set to operate two aircraft carriers and induct huge number of warships, long-range surveillance planes as well as submarines.
