Infosys to acquire management consultancy firm Lodestone

IT major Infosys Monday announced it will acquire Zurich-based Lodestone Holding, a leading global management consultancy firm, in an all-cash deal to expand its presence in Europe.

The deal, valued at Swiss Franc 330 million (about Rs.1,932 crore), would be through by the end of next month, subject to customary closing conditions, Infosys said in a statement. Read more

Five Indian firms among world’s most innovative

(IANS) Five Indian companies including Larsen & Toubro, Hindustan Unilever and Infosys are ranked on Forbes magazine’s list of “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” topped by four US companies.

Larsen & Toubro with an annual sales growth of 19 percent is ranked ninth in the world followed by Hindustan Unilever (12) with 11.4 percent. Infosys (19) comes third with 12.7 percent growth thanks to what the US business magazine called a lower “innovation premium.” Read more

Infosys aims on products and platforms, says KV Kamath

With changes of time, India’s largest IT Company Infosys is in plan to move with its new business strategies to shift from traditional services business to products and platforms, as per saying by its Chairman KV Kamath on Saturday.

Addressing the shareholders at the company’s 31st annual general meeting in Bangalore, Kamath told reporters, “The course correction cannot be done in eight months and can be done over a long period of time.” Read more

Introducing its subsidiary’s plan, the company said, “No-frills savings account of Axis Bank will be opened for customers on the Airtel Money platform called Airtel Money Super Account powered by Axis Bank, offering customers banking transactions, including cash deposit, money transfer and withdrawal.” Read more
