Hamas marks the 25th anniversary, never recognize Israel
After amid controversial blow and bloodshed between Israel and Hamas, today Politburo, Hamas’s exiled Chief Khaled Mashaal has made his visit to the Gaza Strip for first ever, marking the 25th anniversary of Gaza’s rulers.
A mass rally held in al-Katiba Square in Gaza on the occasion where thousands of Gaza’s supports in Hamas were presented as well as several Politburo leaders, have attend the ceremony.
Cheering supporters with victory signs gathered at a huge stage, wearing headbands and waving green flags in support of Hamas, showing the sign of bravery, reports said. Read more
In historical vote, Palestine win upgraded UN status
The UN General Assembly of the 193-member world body on Thursday voted for recognition of a Palestinian state with status of “non-member observer state”, a historical victory for Palestinians who won 138-9 vote with 41 abstentions.
Palestinians non-member observer state status is the defeat of Israel and US, two countries immediately criticized the move. However Canada, the Czech Republic, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and Panama were also in their support.
