Google doodle celebrates Juan Gris’s 125th birthday today
The world’s best search engine, Google is today celebrating the 125th birthday of Spanish surrealist painter Juan Gris.
Mr. Juan Gris has become the latest cultural figure to be paid tribute with a Google doodle. In a move to celebrate Juan Gris’s 125th birthday, the giant search engine, Google, has transformed its logo cubist imagery he helped pioneer.
The Spanish painter Gris was born José Victoriano Carmelo Carlos González-Pérez in Madrid on 23 March 1887.
He completed his study in his country and thereafter he moved to Paris in 1906 where he became a friend and fashionable of artists such as Henri Matisse and Amodeo Modigliani. Read more
