Telenor, Tata Teleservices in talks to merge Indian biz
Norway’s largest telecom operator, Telenor is in talks with Tata Teleservices to merge its Indian operations seeking to get its targeted point in the Indian mobile phone market over 900 million customers.
As per close sources with direct knowledge of the matter, Telenor which seeks to take a majority stake in the merged entity would become the top fifth mobile phone company in India, source said.

India to be an ally with China: Ratan Tata
As per latest business news, the chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata said in an interview that China’s better economic power is not a real point to consider but a way should be found by India to be a friendly relation with China.
Talking to media, Mr. Tata said that India-China relations are not adversarial, but it is not the best. He said, “You know China has never done anything adversarial to India, and India, I think, has been more concerned about China’s economic strength overpowering India, which we really don’t see.” Read more
