Denied the ’Barbaric Killing’ of two Indian Soldiers at the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K, Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar accused India of “war-mongering” over the aftermath of clashes.
After Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s stern warning to end of “business as usual” , Pakistan committed to get normal relations back with India , calling for talks to end a flare-up to setback the progress to improve ties over the past year, Khar said.
Khar’s statement came after Pakistan’s military claimed the Indian army of killing one of its soldiers with “unprovoked firing” across the militarised border in the disputed region, occurring the “ceasefire violation” along LoC in Hot Spring and Jandrot sectors.
“It is deeply disturbing to hear statements which are upping the ante, where one politician is competing with the other to give a more hostile statement,” Khar said at the Asia Society in New York on Wednesday, source said.
Amid tensed situation following deadly fighting at the border last week resulted death of two Indian soldiers and two Pakistani soldiers, while both neighbours deny provoking last week’s clashes.
Totally denied allegation of beheaded one of two Indian soldiers by Pakistan Troops in January 8 fight, Khar claimed that there had “no evidence” of the deaths.
Claiming to make “pacifying statements” by Pakistan Govt, Khar called it for respecting the dialogue process in response to the Indian “hostile statement” over the clashes and killings of soldiers at the LoC.
After continued cease-fire violations by Pakistani troops since the flag meeting between senior military officers of the two countries , India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said there “cannot be business as usual with Pakistan,” if ‘barbaric killing’ continue in future.
