If talking about Facebook addiction, then women are likely to have more to spend hours in updating Facebook profiles, uploading photos, as per recent study, and their genes are responsible that force them to be addicted.

The study, discovered by University of Bonn’s researchers after accessing 843 people behaviors over Internet, revealed that researchers have found a genetic variant in women that linked to Internet addiction.

As per reports, the Internet addictions is based on addicts habits, thinking and behavior of person revolving around the Internet with a belief, if they does not log in then it will badly affected their well-being. Even same happen in online addicts mostly in female, genetic variants linked to addiction in form of loneliness and depression.

“It was shown that Internet addiction is not a figment of our imagination,” Dr. Christian Montag, Lead author of University of Bonn’s research told reporters, adding that social networking sites Facebook and Twitter are the major creator of addiction among women. But he also suggested that still further studies will be required.
