As per recent report, Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) threatened to kill six French hostages in Northern Mali, if France starts further military intervention.
France which is already facing amid furious anti-Islamic and Mohammad cartoons protest, another warning message posted on a Mauritanian news site raised much tension among people as well as govt.
In the message reads, “This crazy action would not only result in the execution of hostages, but also drown the whole of France in the marshes of Azawad.”
Warning to kill more French with amid violent incident, the Islamist group which already took hostages of French nuclear giant Areva’s four workers in September 2010, sent a video footage about their alive information.
Reports also stated that there are other two French citizens under Islamic group who were taken from the Sahel region on 24 November 2011 in northern Mali, a highly clash affected area of between Islamists and Tuareg, called as Azawad.
The move of military intervention would result not only “the deaths of the hostages but will sink France in Azawad and will bring it and its people more tragedies and catastrophes”, the AQIM told kidnapped people families, accusing the French govt not to fulfill their demands.
Meanwhile, the govt, is trying to make negotiable talk with group, but no result has brought out still, but it has been said that a logical support in form of fighter jets and intelligence has been offered by Ecowas group of west African to Mali’s government forces to take gripe over a future military intervention in northern Mali.
