Petrol Prices may be increased by Rs8 per liter this month

In wake to recover past revenue losses that is up to 5,000 crore, oil firms in national capital New Delhi are likely to plan to hike petrol prices just on the day when on this month the Parliamentary budgetary session end.

State oil firms does not revise the fuel price without permission of Oil Ministry, and as per a Cabinet decision, the ministry not allowed them to freely raise petrol prices because of political customs.

Air India pilots strike enters 5th day, asks PM to look into the matter

As the agitation by protesting AI pilots entered the fifth day today, senior pilots send a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, asking to be involved in sought to end the worsen crisis.

RBI tightens rules for using of foreign currency FDs

Tighten the rules for using of foreign currency fixed deposit funds, RBI announced in a statement that funds can only be used for fulfill needs in form of working capital or routine expenditure of those entities who have with a risk management policy for managing the exchange rate risk.

“Accordingly, it has been decided that the FCNR(B) funds representing deposit liabilities may be utilised for making loans to resident constituents for meeting their foreign exchange requirements,” RBI said.

AI may move to Court as pilot’s strike

AI pilots strike has carried on its second day that resulted cancellation of four international flights two each from Delhi and Mumbai.

Seeing a worse hit over the flight operations, Air India management now decided to approach the court against agitators, a section of pilots on strike.

“The management is also mulling the option of approaching the court against the pilots’ agitation,” sources said.

Suzuki recalls over one lakh Swifts worldwide, Indian market unaffected
