Delhi’s Mayur Vihar tense, clashes with Police

As per latest report, situation in East Indian capital’s Mayur Vihar is worse after a clash between public and police occurred on last night, killing one person and 15 policemen were injured.

However, still today the situation is tensed in Mayur Vihar Phase-III as reports said, 3 people have injured after the police fired in air, tear gas shells fired and set lathi charge on people to control when they attacked on a CNG filling station.

During the clashes, many public and private transport vehicles including a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus, have been fired along with a police station and a police post.

Reporting to media, BM Mishra, Deputy Commissioner, East said that all injured were admitted to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, adding that, “Five police constables have been injured, in the Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) hospital, there is one person with bullet injuries and the other scooterist, because of whom the whole incident has been triggered, happens to have been beaten with lathis.”

According to source, the clashes took place when a young biker had beaten by police who with his friend had stopped by police for charge of not wearing helmets. As per police, they were drunk, while locals accused police for assaulting him, shoot in his heart.

The condition of victim is critical and is admitted in hospital. Meanwhile, situation is controlled by 1,600 police force deployed around the site location, while all the route of the residual areas has been blocked.
