Fresh avalanche warning in Kashmir Valley; Uri, Gulmarg

According to latest news, officials on Sunday issued fresh avalanche warning for the higher and more danger reaches of the Kashmir Valley and informed them to move to the safe locations.

Talking to media, , head of disaster management in the valley, Aamir Ali said, “Medium danger avalanche warning is issued for people living in Keran, Tangdhar, Machil, Chowkibal, Gurez, Bannihal, Uri and Gulmarg areas.”

Further, Mr. Ali said, “People are advised to take precaution and not to venture about in avalanche-prone areas.”

Meanwhile, there has been heavy show fall in the valley during the past three days.

However, the weather department has predicted a ‘fair weather in the Kashmir Valley from Monday.

The busy Jammu-Srinagar Highway was reopened for traffic on Sunday after being closed for two days.
