Google doodles London 2012 Opening Ceremony

On the world’s biggest seven-year long awaited London 2012 Olympics Games ceremony that will start in London today, Google is celebrating the extravagant modern games by marking its London 2012 Opening Ceremony doodle.

The much attractive London 2012 Opening Ceremony doodle is marked the logo of Olympic as it shows 5 athletes same as five rings in Olympic logo, representing different Olympic sports football, swimming, running/jumping, javelin throw, fencing and basketball with Google logo.

In this 30th modern Olympic Games 2012, a celebration showcasing the best of the Host Nation, more than thousands of VIPs along with 120 national leaders are expected to be presented in event. Around 10,500 athletes from 204 countries are expected to participate in 302 events in 26 sports that will continue upto 12, August 2012.

Angelina Jolie as guest appearance and US First Lady Michelle Obama to the king of Swaziland is said to be in the event, while Germany’s Angela Merkel and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda leaders are also set to attend London Opening ceremony 2012.

By this 2012 celebration of Olympic Games, London becomes the first city to host thrice the event. From side of India, 81 athletes and 36 coaches will participate in London 2012 in 13 disciplines.

Talking about grand event, Danny Boyle, Artistic Director of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, said, as per source, ‘Our Isles of Wonder salutes and celebrates the exuberant creativity of the British genius in an Opening Ceremony that we hope will be as unpredictable and inventive as the British people.’
