Medium fast bowler Umesh Yadav is the star from the Indian side in the second innings, he took 4 wickets. However, Dwayne Bravo from West Indies also hit a superb century. But his hundred proved in vain as India ended the 2nd Test match with a win.

India is now leading the three match series with 2-0.

Earlier, West Indies batsman Bravo hit 136 runs and Marlon Samuels also contributed with 84 to stave off a defeat which was confirmed in the afternoon session on day four as India sealed an innings and 15-run victory.

The Indian bowler, Umesh Yadav was the leading wicket taker in the second innings with four for 80 as the Windies were dismissed for 463 in their second innings.

Windies were always in the driving seat after scoring 631 in their first innings with West Indies only managing 153 in reply.

And although Darren Sammy’s men were more resolute in their second knock, an India win seemed inevitable on a pitch which offered enough to encourage spin and pace bowlers alike.

During the Presentation ceremony the captains of both the teams said, Darren Sammy: “I’d like to comment the guys in the second innings, if we put two innings together we can pose a challenge to other teams. It was a good fight in the second innings. India showed us how to bat on the track, it called for application.” Sammy has lots of praise for Bravo as well.

MS Dhoni is greeted by a huge roar: “It was a long fielding session, we got them out comfortably in the first session, but we saw that the track was getting flatter, there was nothing in it for the bowlers. Umesh can really bow over 140, Ishant also bowled well, the bowlers are hunting as a pack, doesn’t matter who is taking the wickets. I think the first innings was perfect, after that it was a patience game. Bravo batted superbly well, supported by Chanderpaul.”
