On festival season, Maruti Suzuki offered Indian customers newest CNG version of best-seller Alto, Alto 800cc helping to deal with petrol crisis as hike petrol pricing, the biggest counter hit in competition with petrol cars.
“Alto 800 sports a fresh look, is roomier with over 15% more fuel efficiency and better geared for city conditions,” Regional Manager Mohit Jindal said in a statement.
The company hit out its boosting Alto 800 model which surly increase sale unit during this season at affordable price of Rs 2.44 lakh with range of color options- frost blue, superior white, silky silver, granite grey, blazing red and torque blue , targeting middle class generation.
With Rs.470 crore investment in the Gurgaon plant, Maruti Suzuki announced to made available Alto 800 in 6 models- 3 in Petrol and 3 in CNG with little price differentiation as in Kolkata, Alto 800 standard petrol model cost Rs.2,52,547, Rs.2,85,653 for LX; Rs.3,08,581 for LXi while CNG standard priced at Rs. 3,28,970, LX Rs.3,47,323 and Rs.3,66,673 for LXi.
“We have received 10,000 bookings pan India. We don’t limit ourselves to any numbers and will supply as per demand with our factories at Gurgaon and Manesar having a capacity of 14.5 lakhs,” he added.
Expecting much higher volume this year to be 10%, the company strategy to land its petrol and CNG products in form of the Alto 800 is best implement specially when the price for diesel cars becomes more expensive, CNG products sale are up by 45%.
Offering 13% more fuel efficiency in CNG variants with 30.46 km per kg mileage and for petrol 22.74 kmpl, up by 15%, the Alto 800 promising a powerful , safer and excellent drive with best interior as well exterior features with safety specifications.
