The Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] on Saturday announced that left arm pacer Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Shoaib Malik would remain in the playing side for the One-Day internationals against India starting from December 30 in Chennai.
In a statement issued by the PCB saying that it had accepted the request made from the tour management to retain Irfan and Malik in the team for the ODI series as well.
The PCB statement said, “These two players will now also be part of the One-day squad in India.”
Earlier, the two players were selected only for the Twenty20 series against India which ended in a 1-1 draw.
But, Shaoib Malkin impressed selectors with his haft century in the 1st Twenty20 and Irfan’s bowling as well, therefore selectors decided them to retain in the team.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan ODI team also includes senior and experienced players such as Imran Farhat, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq.
