Police recovers Rs 1 crore cash and jewellery from Fiza’s lockers

A new twist came in the mysterious death case of Anuradha Bali alias Fiza Mohammed, separated wife of the former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammed, when the city police recovered Rs 1 crore in cash and jewellery which almost costs Rs 30 lakh from lockers of Fiz in different banks of the city.

Briefing to media, Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police GS Bhullar said that the police party was trying to get any clue of the mysterious death of Fiza, as the police has not received any suicide note yet.

It is further said in reports that the investigating team has recovered Rs. 49.99 lakh and Rs 54.99 lakh were recovered from two of the lockers, the third had the jewellery.

Fiza’s dead body was recovered by police on August 6 from the ground floor bedroom of her residence in Mohali.

Police had not found any injury marks or signs of struggle, but the post-mortem reports said that there was a presence of lethal pesticide aluminium phosphide from her viscera, leading the police to infer that it was a case of suicide.
