Rahul Gandhi starts his two-day tour to Kashmir today

According to latest news, the Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is all set to start his 2-day long tour to Kashmir from today.

Rahul Gandhi’s tour to Kashmir comes at a very important time as soon after the murder of sarpanchs and protests by other village chiefs. Though, there is no official statement that if there is any meeting is expected with the state chief minister Omar Abdullah planned as yet.

In addition, Rahul Gandhi will also lay down the foundation stone of a 6.5 km tunnel near Sonmarg today.

The 6.5 km long tunnel is named as ‘The Z-Morh Tunnel’ and it will allow connecting to Ladakh in all-weather conditions. Further, Rahul Gandhi will also expect to have a meeting with Panchayat members in the Valley on Friday against the backdrop of his call for growing security of Panchs and Sarpanchs following threats from militant groups in the Valley.

Earlier, a sarpanch delegation had met Rahul Gandhi in national capital last week.

For the first time, AICC general secratery Rahul Gandhi is expected to relieve corporate concerns about investing in J&K.

Further, reports have said that the Chairman of the Tata group and the Aditya Birla group, HDFC chairman Deepak Parikh, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto Rajeev Bajaj and Chairman and Managing Director of WIPRO Aziz Premji will be present during Rahul’s visit.
