Lashkar-e-Toiba has tremendous public support in Pak, says Pervez Musharraf

The latest world news state that the former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Saturday said in an interview that Lashkar-e-Toiba enjoys “tremendous public support” in Pakistan and it would be very tough for the Pak government to take action against them.

The former army chief and President was sharing his views with media at a press conference at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit on Saturday.

He said, “They have tremendous public support and during the earthquake in Pakistan, the best NGO doing welfare for the people was their front organization.”

CIA Chief David Petraeus resigns over unacceptable affair

Director of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) , David Petraeus on Friday resigned after accused by FBI in a probe with full evidence to be red handed over an extramarital affair.

As per FBI, one of America’s most decorated four-star generals, David’s behaviour was “unacceptable” as having affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, a journalist and a model for a machine gun manufacturer.

Al Qaeda No. 2 killed in Pakistan

In amid talks over drones’ strikes between the United States and Pakistan following the imprisonment of the Pakistani doctor who helped the CIA in search of Osama bin Laden, U.S. has struck another drone in Pakistan.

On early Monday U.S. stroke missiles targeting Abu Yahya al-Libi the high profile al-Qaeda’s No. 2 terrorist leader, killed along with more than a dozen people in North Waziristan, a tribal province on Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan, around sunrise Monday, official source reported.
