Bollywood is today celebrating late Dev Anand’s 89th birthday today. Dev Anand’s son Suniel has said that he plans to announce his film.
The legend actor Dev Anand passed away in December 2011 at London following a cardiac arrest. During his career in Bollywood, Dev Anand gave many hits to the industry like Guest, Baazi, Jewel Thief, CID, Johny Mera Naam, Amir Garib, Warrant, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Des Pardes.
According to recent reports, the superstar of Bollywood and the evergreen actor Dev Anand’s last rites will take place in London on Saturday.
Further, the cremation ceremony of the legendary actor will take place at Putney Vale Crematorium in London around noon.
Moreover, reports said that soon after the ceremony, there will be a memorial service at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan in West London for family members as well as other close relatives.
In addition to this, the ashes of the legendary actor would be flown back to Mumbai and a prayer meeting will be organized on 15 December in Mumbai.
As per the fresh news, Indian theatrical Dev Anand who passed away in London just three days ago due to a heart attack will be cremated in London. The news was confirmed by the family members of the evergreen Bollywood actor.
According to the statement issued by the family members to the media, the family of Dev Anand has confirmed that the superstar’s ashes will be flown back to Mumbai.
While talking to media, a family member said, “We are now in a position to confirm that a cremation ceremony will be taking place in London, followed by a memorial gathering and tribute in the UK Capital. In due course, Mr. Anand’s ashes will be taken back to India, where a major ceremony of remembrance will be held in Mumbai, the Capital of the Indian Film Industry.”

The Evergreen actor of Bollywood, Dev Anand has started his career as an actor in 1946 in Hum Ek Hain. His first super hit film was Ziddi which was released in 1947, and the actor never looked back thereafter.
Dev Anand has given countless superhit film to the Hindi Film Industry like Paying Guest, Baazi, Jewel Thief, CID, Johny Mera Naam, Amir Garib, Warrant, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Des Pardes.
