Today, Senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar filed a petition in Delhi High Court against the trial court’s verdict seeking a permission to defend himself from being alleged offences to responsible for 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The trial court has dismissed his plea to use a 1984 anti-Sikh riots victim Jagdish Kaur’s statements given in past before a judicial commission to defend himself in case. Read more
As per latest report, a 35 days long continued strike of more than 300 Air India pilots are expected to be terminated very soon as Aviation Minister Ajit Singh on Monday said all the decision what have done with pilots whether to keep them on their payroll without work or not, is based on the AI management, a source said.
Calling an illegal strike, he confirmed media, “It is for the Air India management to take action now. These pilots have not come to work for more than 30 days….It is an illegal strike. They have defied the High Court.” Read more
In a twist of CBI investigation, A Special CBI Judge of Andhra Pradesh, T. Pattabhirama Rao has suspended on Thursday on order of the High Court Chief Justice Madan Lokur, being accused along with his son in bribe for bail to G Janardhana Reddy in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) illegal mining case.
Registering an FIR against him, his son and five others, the High Court directed a CBI probe against him and he asked not to leave the city till the completion of inquiry. Read more
