Suspended TMC leader arrested, threatening hospital staff at gun point

A suspended Trinamool Congress leader, Ashish Dey has been arrested by West Bangal’s Police after capturing CCTV footage in which he allegedly threatening the staff of a private nursing home at gun point in a verbal spat.

Mamata Banerjee support Anna Hazare, says Parliament must be dissolved

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced her support for Anna Hazare’s demand for immediate dissolution of Parliament. Mamata added that the UPA government was a minority one with one-party rule.

Talking to media at a press conference, Mamata Banerjee said, “This is a minority government and I totally agree with Hazare’s demands made yesterday. The UPA government came to power with our support. After we left we wrote to the President that we have withdrawn support from the government. This is a Congress government now, not a UPA government.” Read more

TMC Minister submit resignations to Prime Minister

Mukul Roy 150x150 TMC Minister submit resignations to Prime MinisterAccording to latest reports that Trinamool Congress party had formally announced to withdraw its support with the UPA government as all the minister submitted their resignations to the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh.

Meanwhile, all the six minister of Mamata Banerjee headed TMC led by Mukul roy reached 7RCR to meet the Prime Ministe and gave their resignation to the Prime Minister.

TMC leader Mukul Roy was cabinet minister in Manmohan government, while Saugata Ray, Sisir Adhikari, Mohan Jatua, Sultan Ahmed and Sudip Bandopadhyay are ministers of state. Read more
