Rahul Gandhi’s Asset case, EC seeks a probe

Head of Congress election coordination committee for 2014 election, Rahul Gandhi bow into new asset de-recognision allegations raised by Subramanian Swamy.

As per Swamy, Congress general secretary, Mr. Gandhi gave galse affidavit regarding information of his assets while filing nomination papers for the Amethi Lok sabha seat in the 2009 polls.

Eight killed, 12 injured in Fire-Cracker Explosion in Uttar Pradesh

According to latest news, around eight people were killed and 12 others were injured in an explosion in a house where fire fire-crackers were being manufactured illegally for the Diwali festival.

It is said in reports that all the killed were of the same family.

Meanwhile, the explosion occurred at the house in Yaqoobpur town in Bela police station area in the morning, as reported by the deputy superintendent of police Ashok Kumar Singh. Read more

Taj corridor case: ex-chief minister Mayawati not to face trial

According to fresh news, a relief was given to former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati by the Allahabad High Court on Monday. The court had dismissed the petition seeking the prosecution of the Mayawati along with cabinet colleague Naseemuddin Siddiqui in the Taj Heritage Corridor case of 2003.

Reports have said that the top investigating agency of the country, CBI, had filed a chargesheet against former CM Mayawati, Naseemuddin Siddiqui, former principal secretary of environment R K Sharma and former environment secretary Rajendra Prasad under IPC sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 before a special CBI court here in 2007. Don’t give mobile phones to girls: Rajpal Singh Saini

According to fresh news, the Bahujan Samaj Party MP Rajpal Singh Saini has recently said in an interview that party workers should not give their mobile numbers to children, especially girls.

Further, Rajpal Singh Saini went on to say that he once advised a father, already traumatised by the kidnapping of his daughter, that giving mobiles to girls only invites trouble. Read more
