As per the latest games news, the successful defence of World chess championship title in Moscow, Viswanathan Anand will today arrive back to the country.

Viswanathan Anand will reach the country via Dubai at 8.30 pm and will be felicitated by the Tamil Nadu Chess Association at the Anna international airport.

On the other hand, the Moscow match ended in a tie (rapid games not counted for Fide ratings), Viswanathan Anand had a rating of 2727, which was Gelfand’s rating, while the Israeli had a performance rating of 2791, which was Anand’s rating. Anand’s loss of points became Gelfand’s gain for the period.

In the present rating list, Viswanathan Anand has dropped to 2780 and fell two places and the Gelfand has ejoyed 11 points to gain three places to No. 17.
