According to latest news from Telecom sector, it reveals that it has come out with special guidelines on minimum quality benchmark for mobile internet service with the help of which it will be compulsory for an operator to activate such service within 3hours of request from a user.
In a statement issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India [TRAI], “It is necessary to benchmark and monitor the quality of service offered by the service providers of mobile data services with various options open to the implementing agencies so that the interests of consumers are protected.”
In the meantime, the cellular internet customers are likely to boost the launch of 3G as well as Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) services in the country.
Further, TRAI has issued a written comments on the draft guidelines from the stakeholders by July 25 and counter comments by Aug 1.
