US turn down Pak’s demand for UN probe into Indian soldiers’ killing

As per latest political news, the United States has turned down the demand made by Pakistan for an international inquiry into the killing of two Indian soldiers on January 8 along the Line of Control [LoC] in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, by Pakistani Army.

Meanwhile, the US has rejected the probe and called it as ‘baseless and unfounded’ the charges that Pakistani Army killed and beheaded the two Indian soldiers and the Pak has suggested a third party probe.

In an interview with Indian news channels, Pakistan Foreign Minsiter Hina Rabbani Khar said, “We are saying that an incident like this did not take place, but if our enquiry is not good enough, we can ask the UN to do the enquiry.”

Further, she said that the Indian Army could probe the killing of two Indian soldiers since it occurred 600 meters inside Indian territory.

She said, “I think we can do both our own investigations and assist each other in finding out what really happened.”
