Arvind Kejriwal threatens to gherao Sonia Gandhi’s residence
Social activist and India Against Corruption [IAC] leader Arvind Kejriwal has today said in media that he along with disabled activists will gherao the residence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday and they will demand the resignation of law minister Salman Khurshid.
Arvind Kejriwal said this after the allegations on Salman Khurshid that the NGO operated by him and his wife has indulged in irregularities.
Further, Kejriwal not only demanded Salman Khushid’s resignation from Cabinet but also announced his protest along with 35-40 disabled persons met him in national capital.
Talking to media, Kejriwal said, “Money bungling in the NGO floated by the law minister’s wife is a matter of shame. It is unfortunate to have such law minister in the country.”
Arvind Kejriwal added, “We demand resignation of the law minister and immediate arrest of his wife. We will gherao Sonia Gandhi’s residence asking for Khurshid’s resignation.”
Earlier, a Hindi news channel reported that the NGO made fake signatures of top officials on districts level of Uttar Pradesh depriving disabled people of their money.
However, Salman Khurshid’s wife Louise Khurshid said that all such allegations are baseless and false. She said, “it was devoid of any merit, and is false, malicious and baseless.”
Moreover, Louise Khurshid added that she herself had urged the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on September 17 to put any inquiry on this matter.
She said, “truth is revealed and it is established that the trust has not forged the signatures of any officers of the state of UP.”
