Congress President Sonia Gandhi to inaugurate rail coach factory in Rae Bareli

According to latest news, Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday open a modern coach manufacturing factory in her Lok Sabha constituency Rae Barreli.

It is said in reports that the coach factory was delayed for one year and it costs around Rs 1685 crore. The delay was because of the vexed issue of compensation to farmers whose land was used for the factory.

Talking to media, an official from Railway Ministry said, “The issue is being settled now as railways have decided to provide jobs to all the affected land owners.”

During the event, the Congress President will also distribute the appointment letters to farmers whose land was used for the project.

Meanwhile, India’s largest public transporter had located in around 541 hectares of land for the coach manufacturing factory, out of which 283 hectares belonged to private land owners.

In return to that, the Railway has decided to provide jobs to 1400 persons in compensation for the land acquired for the factory. The Railway Ministry will allot the jobs in ‘Group D’ category.

The Railway Ministry has issued Rs 150 crore against the demand of Rs 400 crore.

Reports have said that the Rae Bareli coach factory is likely to accomplish the growing demand for coaches by manufacturing 1000 coaches per year.
