After the specification hints, now pricing details of Microsoft’s latest upcoming Surface RT tablet has been revealed by its own US online store, seeking a biggest competition against Apple iPad .
Microsoft Surface Tablet which will be come with three variants is thumps up for pre-orders which will be delivered by October 26 after launching at special event with Window Phone 8 OS launch.
Among three, the cheapest Surface RT will come with 32GB of on-board solid state memory at cost $499 (£310) without touch keyboard cover. If users have to get cover they will have to pay additional $100, a total of $599.
Still there is limit on the color option. For a black cover, the extra cost would be $100, whereas for blue, pink and red, the Tablet cost $119.99 each. 64 GB high end Surface RT variant with black touch cover would be the most expensive cost at $699.
Users can also get the solid keyboard Surface Type Cover individually at cost of $129.99 and hit preorder which gas started from today.
In lining with Apple’s new iPad models priced at $499 for 16GB, $599 the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB version, pricing of the Surface RT tablet is expected to be set, seeking to compete also with Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7 tablets. The company has already ordered of 3 to 5 million units of the Surface tablet.
While there is price variations as for the UK market the price set for 32GB is £399, with the touch cover at £99 and solid keyboard cover at £109 which is much higher than US. Still more pricing reveals have to be made by the company.
