Boxer Vijender Singh not happy with the ban on India’s boxing federation
Indian boxer and Olympic medal winner for the country, Vijender Singh was not happy after hearing about the ban on India’s boxing federation.
Talking to media, the boxer said, “Though I don’t know on what basis this has been done, but it is certainly very bad for India’s sports history. It affects the morale of every sportsperson in the country.”
World Championships is scheduled in 2013 including some other boxing events, Vijender feels that this may jeopardise India’s chances. Read more
IOC suspends Indian Olympic Association, India out of Olympics
According to latest sports news, the two officials with knowledge of the decision say that IOC has suspended India’s national Olympic body due to the regular interference of government.

Petrol price cut by Rs2.46 per liter
The petrol price has been cut by the central government for the second in the same month by Rs 2.46 per liter into effect from Thursday midnight.
The fall in petrol prices was announced by three oil companies, which are Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) respectively. Read more
