Bangalore Police 150x150 Terror Suspect: Bangalore police arrest a student from HyderabadAccording to latest reports, the Bangalore Police has arrested a student from Hyderabad on Friday in connection with 11 arrests made in Bangalore on Thursday.

It is said in reports by Bangalore police, a student, Obaid Rehman, 26-years-old, has been taken to Bangalore for further investigation.

The city police said that they had cracked the terror attack. Bangalore police arrested 1 people including a journalist and a DRDO engineer. It is said that they were planning to kill a well-known columnist with a Kannada newspaper.

Talking to media, Karnataka DGP Lalrokhuma Pachau said that the 11 arrested people have connections with terror groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba and HuJI.

Commissioner of Police Bangalore JP Mirji said that they recovered a foreign-made pistol. He said that they also plans to attack MPs, MLAs and top journalists.

Further, Mirji said, “Targeting individuals could have created communal tension.”

Police arrested 4 suspects of Indian Mujahideen activists, who were also involved in the 2010 Chinnaswamy Stadium blast case.

The blast left 15 people killed when two bombs exploded at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 18, 2010 on the eve of the Bangalore-Mumbai IPL semifinal match.
