Consulate Vehicle Attack 150x150 US consulate vehicle attacked in PakistanAccording to latest news, United States government has said in a press release that a a consulate vehicle was attacked in the city of Peshawar located in the northeast region of Pakistan.

Further, reports have said the attack left two Americans and two Pakistani consulate staff injured.

Meanwhile, the information minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, told to a local news agency that two Americans were also killed in the incident; no further information was revealed by the agencies.

On the other hand, a US State Department statement referred only to staff working for the US consulate in Peshawar.

The official Victoria Nuland told media that no US consulate staff were killed in the attack, she said, “The United States was seeking further information about other victims of this heinous act.”

Further, she said, “We can confirm that a vehicle belonging to the US consulate in Peshawar was hit in an apparent terrorist attack.”

According to her, 2 Americans and 2 Pakistani staff of the consulate team were getting treatment in the hospital.

She said, “We stand ready to work with Pakistani authorities on a full investigation so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice.”
