Voting under the second phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election has completed today with near about 60%, 2.7% less than as compared to voting in phase first that was around 62.7%. Polling began amid tight security on a dull note but picked up as the day advanced.
60% of 1.97 crore voters gave their vote to their favorable one for 59 constituencies across nine districts in eastern UP.
Eastern UP constitutions are considered to Muslim vote because like Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Gazipur have a significant presence of Muslim voters. The second phase of assembly election will test the potency of the 4.5 per cent backward minorities sub quota decision.
