Sleep quality improves with age, says study

“Older adult may better enjoy good sleep than younger”, this proved by a telephonic study of more than 150,000 adults’ suggestions that admitted, after cross the age of 40s, sleep quality gets better with age.

As per study conducted by the Center for Sleep and Circadian Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania, the researchers found that people in their 80s had reported better sleep and the fewest complaints about sleep disturbances and daytime fatigue compared to other age groups.

However the researchers had asked questions for their subjective opinion to volunteers about their race, income, education, mood and general health to measure their sleep hours and disturbances.

Two fishermen killed in ship-boat collision

“Our law enforcing agencies are in the hunt to locate the ship that hit the fishing boat, and from what we have been able to gather is that the incident took close to 2 am on Thursday,” State fisheries minister K Babu said in a statement.

As per report, “Dwan-II “, a fishing boat had left to sea from Alappuzha coast, on Sunday for deep sea fishing with seven fishermen. Out of them two fishermen, Xavier and Justin were rescued by the crew of other boats in the sea.

Pakistan set to open imports from India

There will be a massive growth in the momentum of regular exchanges between two nations, India and Pakistan, which have started since mid-2011.

Pakistan has given its approval to grant MFN( most-favoured nation) status to India by switching to a system of “negative lists”.

According to this system, Pakistan will restrict the import of around 1,200 items from India. It moved instead to a “negative list,” which bans around 600 items from India but allows trade in all other goods.

Kapil Sibal: Govt. will go for auction 4G spectrum

Indian Government is now being a king of spectrum as it has enough spectrums to share with everyone.

It is planning to hold spectrum auctions for the fourth generation (4G) mobile services, reportedly said by Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal.

At the Mobile World Congress in BARCELONA, Sibal said, “By the end of the year, we are actually going to auction 4G (spectrum). That is what our intent is. We have enough spectrums now to share with everybody.”

However, Telecom ministry organized India Day function at MWC, in which announcement has made by Sibal regarding the auction 4G spectrum at the end of this year, besides finalising plans to sell off radio waves for the 2G services.
