Indian Government is now being a king of spectrum as it has enough spectrums to share with everyone.

It is planning to hold spectrum auctions for the fourth generation (4G) mobile services, reportedly said by Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal.

At the Mobile World Congress in BARCELONA, Sibal said, “By the end of the year, we are actually going to auction 4G (spectrum). That is what our intent is. We have enough spectrums now to share with everybody.”

However, Telecom ministry organized India Day function at MWC, in which announcement has made by Sibal regarding the auction 4G spectrum at the end of this year, besides finalising plans to sell off radio waves for the 2G services.

Dismissing its plans to put all spectrums for auction, ministry said, it will auction 2G spectrum along with that which will be left vacant by the cancellation of 122 2G new licences following Supreme Court order.

Now it is cleared that in this year 2012, the government wants to cream out high investors with reasonable price by tricking enough spectrums auction.

But all the decision of auction depends on the recommendations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, for that ministry is talking with Mr Sarma, the Chairman of Trai and tried to assuring him for approval of this plan.

Moreover the spectrum auctions procedure would be very transparent and once the plan will follow, the ministry has to work very hard because of having much complexity in the procedures.
