Jackie Shroff plays a role in Rajinikanth ‘Kochadaiyyan’

The latest Bollywood buzz is that actor Jackie Shroff is all set to work the super star of south Indian films, Rajinikanth.

Reports have said that he will be seen in Rajinikanth film `Kochadaiyaan`. `Kochadaiyaan`, a period film, is directed by Rajinikanth ‘daughter Soundarya.

Meanwhile, the decleration was made by actor Jackie Shroff during last night at the festival of Vidhu Vinod Chopra`s films.

He said, “I am doing Rajinikanth`s film `Kochadaiyaan`. I play the role of a Raja (king), beyond this I cannot talk much as I am not allowed to do so.”

Anjum Chopra joins KKR to get fitness tips

The Indian women’s cricket captain Anjum Chopra has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in Kolkata on Saturday to get some fitness tips from the team.

Reports have said that Anjum Chopra started shooting a fitness DVD at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.

While talking to media, Anjum Chopra said, “With the help of Kolkata Knight Riders, I have managed to gain knowledge about fitness and Rudi Webster, sports psychologist of KKR, has helped me a lot while shooting the very first fitness DVD meant for women athletes.”

She said, “This DVD shows how easy it can be for those who wants to look fit and how one can be trained. This is for every women.”

CBI may questions Tatra Chief over Indian Army Bribery case

Vectra Chief Ravi Rishi, against whom FIR has registered by CBI earlier this week, has issued restraint order not to leave the country.

FIR has charged to NRI businessman, being accused in charge of the Army Chief’s bribery and lookout notice issued by CBI to may ask question him again over the Tatra truck deal case.

British businessman Rishi who is the Chairman of the Vectra Group the truck manufacturing company, has huge share in Tatra trucks, a Czech manufacturer.

However about its FIR, CBI is not sure, but the sale of 7000 trucks to the Army by Rishi’s Vectra Group as an offer a bribe six months in 2010 as allegation made by Army Chief VK Singh, put him under CBI investigation.

Facebook recruits Allahabad engineering student on Rs1.34 crore package

Facebook, one of the major social networking sites, has recently announced in a report that it has hired an engineering student here for a big annual package of Rs 1.34 crore.

Reports have said that this is one of the biggest offers made to any technical institution of the country per year.

Talking to media, Director of the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), P Chakravarti said, “A B.Tech student from the institute, who has requested that his name be withheld for “security reasons”, received a letter on March 27 from Facebook confirming his appointment and the annual pay package on offer was stated to be USD 262,500 (around Rs 1.34 crore).”

Sudhakar Reddy is the new CPI General Secretary

From 16 years, national council was waiting for a new guard in the CPI, the Communist Party of India.

And now waiting time is over as S Sudhakar Reddy is placed on Saturday as new general secretary of CPI, replacing A B Bardhan who held the post since 1997.

Along with Reddy who was elected unopposed as national general secretary at the party’s conclave in Patna, other eight members has elected by national council here.

They have been elected as members of central secretariat of the party, a source of CPI said.

TRAI orders ban on unwanted calls and SMSs

The latest Technology news said that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced that it has issued notices to 36,156 subscribers as well as disconnected 22769 for violating terms and conditions on unsolicited calls and SMSs since it the implementation of regulations on September 27 last year.

In addition to this, TRAI has also ordered 94 telemarketers to have been penalized.

In a statement issued by TRAI, it had issued the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010” on December 1, 2010. All the provisions of the regulations came into force from 27th September 2011.
