Pran Actor 150x150 Actor Pran discharged from Lilawati HospitalThe much talented actor and villain Pran was discharged from Lilawati Hospital on Saturday after being admitted eight days ago.

The actor had complained of breathlessness and weakness on Friday last week and he was then admitted to the Lilawati Hospital in Mumbai for better treatment.

Sources said that the 92-years-old actor is felling comfortable now.

Actor Pran was born on 12 February 1920 in Old Delhi’s Ballimaran. His father Kewal Krishan Sikand was a civil engineer and govt contractor.

After completing his matriculation from Raza High School, Rampur, and he joined A. Das & Co. in Delhi as an apprentice photographer.

The actor has two sons Arvind and Sunil and a daughter Pinky.

Pran was awarded with the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award in 1967, 1969 and 1972 and Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.

The government of India honoured the actor with Padma Bhushan in 2001 for his important contribution in Indian film industry.
