Priyanka Chopra to play Mary Kom in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film

Latest Bollywood buzz state that the Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will be playing the role of the 29-years-old boxer Mary Kom in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film.

Meanwhile, the biopic will be based on the life of boxer Mary Kom and the production department was looking for the lead actress for the role, who can play a role of Mary Kom on screen.

A leading newspaper said that actress Priyanka Chopra is going through the script right now. However, Priyanka’s role is not finalized, reports said that UK-born Katrina Kaif is also there in the list.

Further, the art director of films like Black and Saawariya, Omung Kumar, will be making his debut as a director of this biopic.

The shooting of the film is likely to start in March-April 2013.
