Sri Lanka Govt warns citizens not to visit Tamil Nadu
According to latest reports, the central government of Sri Lanka has issued a travel advisory which state its citizens should not visit Tamil Nadu due to the growing number of instances of intimidation of Sri Lankans in the state.
The report issued by the External Affairs Ministry of Sri Lanka said, “The Government of Sri Lanka regrets the increasing number of instances of intimidation of Sri Lankan nationals visiting Tamil Nadu for the purposes of tourism, religious pilgrimages, sporting and cultural activities and professional training.” Read more
Viswanathan Anand deserves Bharat Ratna: J Jayalalithaa
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has recently said in an interview that the World chess champion Viswanathan Anand deserved Bharat Ratna.
The chief minister was talking to media on her arrival here after meeting Planning Commission officials in the national capital.

TN to establish 500MW gas-fired power plant
As per reports, the “500MW gas-fired power plant” project in Tamil Nadu approved by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday.
During Assembly speech, she granted application of setting up project the Tamil Nadu in which fuel will be supplied from Gas Authority of India’s Kochi-Bangalore pipeline. Read more
