Pak Supreme Court: PM Gilani must writer to Swiss Govt to reopen graft cases

For Pakistan, no one is above the law whether it would be head of the Prime Minister’s party or anyone else.

This has been proved by the issue over the money laundry cases against President Asif Ali Zardari, that are try to reopen by the Pakistan govt. to make strict action against corrupts.

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani resists under a big do and die situation after the Pakistan’s Supreme Court has order him to write a mandatory letter to Swiss authorities for reopening graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Today, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has made hearing Gilani’s appeal. And after that in form of the remarks, Chaudhary said that the proceedings against Gilani would be ended on basis of a condition. The condition is that Gilani should write a letter to the Swiss authorities.

As per report, the case registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), over an illegal gratification of Rs 550 crore, accepted through Kalanidhi in the Aircel-Maxis deal.

Reportedly, a contract between Anantha Krishnan –owned Maxis Communication and Sivashankaran-owned Aircel had dealt to invest Rs 550 crore in Sun TV and Sun DTH. In return Maxis got a stake of Aircel.

SIT issues clean chit to Narendra Modi in Gulbarg case

As per the CBI report, The Special Investigation Team who was investigating against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over 2002 communal riots in Gujarat, have not enough evidence to prove his alleged inaction in riots. And this is expected that SIT is trying to escape Modi.

The Gulbarg case which directed by the Supreme Court to SIT for making final report, is going to blew a big controversy.

The special committee of Supreme Court, SIT who had submitted a wrapped report on Wednesday, in a magisterial court in Ahmedabad, has not commented on CBI’s allegation.

Over 30 people killed under Odisha hooch tragedy

As per latest health news, around 30 farm laborers of village of Cuttack and Khurda districts in Orissa have died after consuming toxic alcohol in form of cheap bootleg liquor. 50 other are in a critical state.

The toll of death is still going on. Many of them are admitted in the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack and other private hospitals and facing the tough situation as the time near to death.

Syrups and medicines are spiked with methyl alcohol, used in the manufacture of some medicines. Govt. has been sealed the pharmaceutical laboratory that supplied the medicines.

Rejecting the claim of hooch tragedy, district collector Girish SN said the people died after consuming spurious medicines and not liquor and many cough syrup bottles were seized from the liquor joint.
