Alex Paul Menon case: Chattisgarh govt sends medicines

Kidnapped Sukma district collector Alex Paul Menon, an asthma patient was in very serious condition under the requirement of medicines, the Maoists messaged govt. IAS Officer, 2006 batch has been took hostage at a Chhattisgarh-Odisha border area, under the full watch by 400 armed Maoists.

After that as per information of Maoist, govt. sent medicines within few hours, through One of Maoist’s mediator and president of All India Adivasi Mahasabha Manish Kunjam.

As per source report, Kunjam who does not want to be the part of the mediation process and on Tuesday he refused Maoist’s offer to represent them as their mediator. But on the govt. request he is agree to take medicines to the 32-year-old IAS officer.

“Menon’s life is supreme. I will be going to Sukma soon to take the medicines and then proceed to Tarimetla. Thereafter, I will come back,” he told reporters.

The kidnapping of IAS Officer made by Maoists on 22 April, 2012 from Majhipara village in Raipur district during a meeting of the government’s special Gram Suraj Abhiyan.

However still yet, demands of Maoists to release eight ultras including two women has not fulfilled by govt. Only one day is remain to met their a deadline of April 25 for fulfilling their demands.

If the govt. will not do as accordance to them, then it has to face worst situation as Menon’s health is worsening, Maoist warned the govt.
