sachinbatting 300x273 India recovers; Sachin Tendulkar retires on 92 runsAs per the latest cricket news, Indian master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman have retired hurt after tea session as India bounced back strongly on the 2nd day of their two-day practice match against Cricket Australia Chairman’s XI at the Manuka Oval on Friday.

Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 92 runs while VVS Laxman was batting on 57 runs, though India still 158 runs behind the runs made by Chairman’s XI’s first-innings total of 398/6.

However, Jake Haberfield managed early breakthrough and took two wickets of Indian opener Ajinkya Rahane for just three, Gautam Gambhir was dismissed by Glenn Maxwell for a 63-ball 35 that with 6 fours.

On the other hand, Captain Rahul Dravid fell soon after lunch, he was caught by Peter George at mid-on off the bowling of Cameron Boyce for 45.

After that, 133 runs partnership was made by Sachin and Laxman that quite saved the team.

Earlier, Tom Cooper and Wes Robinson hit superb hundreds and gave a strong 226-run partnership to lift the Australian invitational XI to 398 for six declared on a docile pitch after Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to field.

Moreover, Tom Cooper’s scored 182 not out including 24 fours and 3 sixes, while Robinson’s 143 featured six big sixes – including five off test hopeful Pragyan Ojha.
