Raj Thackeray supports Cartoonist, asks why Afzal Guru, Kasab still live

Following former Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal, now Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray come in support of cartoonist Aseem Trivedi who arrested on charges of sedition, insulting Indian State in form of cartoons.

Trivedi who is in the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai, has rejected the bail granted by Bombay High Court and said not to apply for the bail until his charges are not backed by govt.

Supporting Trivedi’s decision, Thackeray demanded home minister RR Patil to withdraw the sedition charge against him.

“After seeing the cartoons, I have failed to understand… why he has been arrested and why a case has been registered against him,” Raj said, adding that it is necessary to understand the “motivation” behind his cartoons.

Raj criticizing govt over action against terrorist, Afzal Guru and Kasab who are still not punish and hang, but one who expressed Parliamentary state in a bad light via cartoons has been arrested under sedition charges.

Terming a mockery, Raj told media, “Why was Trivedi arrested and cases filed against him? Those who committed treason are free and one who just drew a cartoon was jailed.”

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old cartoonist is become the center epic of the nation, even getting attention in abroad. However, Kejriwal and IAO activists ready to act on a protest outside the Arthur Road jail in support of Trivedi if govt. not drops sedition charges against him.
